Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange: Looking Toward the Future

The event was jointly organized by the Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange Association, the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, Tam Chuc Tourist Area, along with Vietnamese and Japanese agencies, organizations, and partners.

A total of 10 Yosakoi teams performed at the opening ceremony, including five Vietnamese teams from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Can Tho, and five teams from Japan (Tokyo and Osaka), with a combined 242 dancers. Their performances created a lively and emotional atmosphere, clearly embodying the distinctive spirit of Yosakoi - dynamic, joyful, and filled with positive energy.

The festival is not only an artistic playground but also a cultural bridge, contributing to enhanced exchange, mutual learning, and closer ties between the two nations.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Le Ngoc Dinh, President of the Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange Association, emphasized that organizing the Yosakoi Festival helps the public better understand the value of cultural exchange while promoting Vietnam-Japan friendship. The event also serves as an opportunity to promote the scenic beauty of Tam Chuc, thereby strengthening cooperation in culture, tourism, economy, trade, and investment between Ninh Binh Province and Japanese partners.

Following the opening ceremony at Tam Chuc, the festival will continue through April 26, 2026, at AEON Mall Ha Dong (Hanoi). The program brings together 30 performing teams, including 21 from Vietnam and 9 from Japan.

With a large number of dancers and high professional standards, this year’s performances are expected to be explosive, vibrant, creative, and engaging, offering audiences lively and impressive artistic experiences.
