On March 2, the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi’s outskirts district of Dong Anh allowed 30 Vietnamese citizens who returned from China’s Wuhan city to go home after a 21-day quarantine
Director of the hospital Pham Ngoc Thach said these cases had been quarantined and monitored since February 10.
As of March 2 that all suspected cases, including an eight-month pregnant woman and six children, were in good health and displayed no symptoms of respiratory problems.
Leaving the hospital after a 21-day quarantine, eight-month pregnant Nguyen Thi Thanh shared: “Every day, the hospital provided nutritious meals, with health workers coming for examinations.”
"At the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, I have pregnancy check-up once a week and stayed in a separate room. I am very grateful to the government, the Embassy of Vietnam in China for creating conditions for us to return to Vietnam. Especially, I would like to thank the medical staff here for always caring and looking after me during my time here," Thanh said.
The aircraft carrying the citizens landed at Van Don International Airport in Van Don island, the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh, at 05:04 am on February 10.
From February 13 to 12:00 on March 2, no new COVID-19 cases had been recorded in Vietnam. Currently, there have been 115 suspected cases that are being quarantined./.
