35 foreigners suspected of illegally entering Ho Chi Minh City

On the afternoon of March 6, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Trieu, Chairman of Ben Thanh Ward People's Committee, said that this group was discovered by the police when checking in the hotel last night. Currently, the unit has coordinated the functional forces of District 1 to bring them to medical isolation at the Cu Chi Field Hospital.
The entire 4-story hotel was sprayed with disinfectant and suspended. From this noon, District 1 Health Center has taken samples to test for 35 people, initially received negative results.

In the recent outbreak, Ho Chi Minh City recorded 36 cases, including 35 cases relating to Tan Son Nhat airport, and the rest are from Hai Duong.
The Department of Health of the city has launched the campaign against Covid-19 for a month (February 10 to March 10), expanding over 21 districts and Thu Duc city to actively control the risk of transmission after Tet. In particular, the city is focusing on taking random samples and testing in the community, keeping close track of people from pandemic areas and foreign experts.
