According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ official portal, in addressing the 99.68% voter turnout in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term as well as turnout exceeding 99% in the past seven elections, Pham Thu Hang stated that elections to the National Assembly and People’s Councils are both a fundamental right and a sacred civic responsibility of every citizen, conducted in a democratic, lawful, public, and transparent manner. The exceptionally high voter turnout nationwide reflects a strong sense of responsibility and active public engagement in this major political event of the country, often regarded as a “national festival.”
She further emphasized that these results affirm the strength of the great national unity bloc, as well as the people’s trust in and support for the policies of renewal, nation-building, and national defense pursued by the Party and the State of Vietnam.
