During Ambassador Denny Abdi’s tenure in Vietnam, the Vietnam–Indonesia relationship continued to be strengthened, marked by the milestone of the two countries officially upgrading their ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. In recognition of his contributions, the State of Vietnam has conferred the Friendship Order on the Ambassador.

On October 31 in Hanoi, the roundtable “Vietnam-France Healthcare Cooperation” opened new directions for collaboration to improve public health and strengthen the longstanding bond between the two nations. The event was a meaningful activity contributing to the consolidation of friendship as the two countries move toward celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-France diplomatic relations.

On October 28 in Hanoi, the Vietnam-US Society under the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) held a rountable entitled “Vietnam-US People-to-People Relations: 30 Years of Diplomatic Relations and Beyond.” The event brought together Vietnamese diplomats, scholars, and American friends and partners to review the achievements of Vietnam-US people-to-people cooperation over the past three decades and to exchange views on future directions.

The Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations held a signing ceremony on the morning of October 22 for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with three foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs): Giving It Back To Kids, Children of Vietnam (USA), and Lifestart Foundation (Australia). During the 2025-2030 period, these organizations committed to providing 2.5 million USD (equivalent to nearly 66 billion VND) to support education, healthcare, human development, and social welfare programs, contributing to Da Nang’s sustainable development goals.
