Artwork Showcase Vietnam - France Friendship Exhibited in Hanoi
The piece, entitled It Is Five O'clock, Hanoi Awakens, was funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) via the Metis Fund in collaboration with the Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board (MRB) and young artist Nguyen Xuan Lam.

| On November 9, at a ceremony to officially commence the commercial operation of the elevated segment of the Nhon-Hanoi Station urban railway project., the public work "5 a.m., Hanoi wakes up - Il est cinq heures, Hanoi s’éveille" by artist Nguyen Xuan Lam was presented to Hanoi by AFD through the METIS fund. Set atop a hexagonal pedestal, the artwork symbolizes the deep friendship between Vietnam and France in the 21st century and evokes reflections on the relationship between people, urban spaces, and nature. The work, shaped like a fossil train car 2.8m high, and 3.5m wide, sketched from more than 15,000 pieces of pottery, is set for exhibition at S8 Cau Giay station, Nhon - Hanoi railway line. |
