ASEAN Sports Days in Morocco

(VNF) - Vietnam Embassy joined other ASEAN members in Rabat, Morocco, for an ASEAN Sports Days 2017, on July 21^st-22^nd hosted by the Thailand Embassy in Morocco.

The ASEAN Day contributes to promoting solidarity and friendship within ASEAN members and between ASEAN and international friends, as well as promote a healthy lifestyle among people in the ASEAN region.

During the event, the diplomats, their families and friends from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Brunei Embassies competed in competitive events including table tennis, volleyball and bowling.

The event also held as part of activities to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of ASEAN establishment (August 8^th, 1967 – 2017).

The event also provided a sound opportunity for ASEAN officials of foreign affairs to meet and exchange experiences as well as enhance the efforts made to building ASEAN into a solid, strong and developed bloc, Vietnamese Ambassador in Morocco Tran Quoc Thuy said./.
