Speaking at the ceremony, Vu Manh Ha, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, shared that the exhibition is divided into two parts: “Ba Dinh Shines in Autumn” and “From the Autumn of Independence to the Spring of Doi Moi.”
The exhibition traces Nguyen Ai Quoc’s historic journey to find a path to national salvation, his engagement with Marxism-Leninism, the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the triumph of the August Revolution, and the Declaration of Independence. It also highlights the ongoing process of nation-building, Fatherland-defending, and the cause of Doi Moi.

A highlight of the exhibition is the public unveiling for the first time of several valuable documents and artifacts. These include: a copy of Nguyen Ai Quoc’s identity card from 6 Villa des Gobelins Street, issued on September 4, 1919 (featuring a photo stamped with his signature); Nguyen Ai Quoc’s photographer’s business card; a letter from President Ho Chi Minh to the Central Executive Committee of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany, dated August 1, 1960, informing and inviting the delegation to attend the Party Congress and the 15th Independence Day of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam; and a commemorative poem marking the 15th anniversary of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam by poet Hoang Viem Boi.
These artifacts hold not only immense historical value but also sacred significance, stirring national pride and deep love for the homeland in the hearts of every Vietnamese person.

Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes said that the exhibition “Autumn of Independence” has special significance as it introduces many valuable documents and artifacts, which are an important part of Vietnamese history.
He highly appreciated the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, and affirmed that the decisive factor for all victories is the solidarity of the Vietnamese people. It is the spirit of solidarity under wise leadership that helped Vietnam gain independence, overcome the war of aggression, and build a new society. This is a valuable lesson for many countries, including Cuba: Only when the people are united and have the right leadership can great achievements be achieved.

The Ambassador also expressed his impression of Vietnam's strong development achievements in maintaining independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity while building an increasingly prosperous country. He emphasized that this glorious historical heritage is the luggage and inspiration for the young generation of Vietnam to continue writing new pages of history for the nation in the era of integration and development.
Nguyen Duc Anh, a student of class 8A1, Giang Vo 2 Secondary School (Hanoi) said: "This is the first time I have seen with my own eyes the documents and artifacts associated with Uncle Ho. Previously, I only learned about Uncle Ho and history through books, but when I saw it in person, I felt more clearly the difficulties and sacrifices that generations of fathers and brothers went through to gain independence. I understand that history is not a distant topic but something very close, vivid and full of pride."
