Boxer Tran Van Thao Wins WBO Global Championship Belt
The final match for the WBO Global championship title took place between Vietnamese boxer Tran Van Thao and Thai boxer Jakrawut Majungoen Despite his impressive achievements of 17 wins and only 1 loss, Van Thao is still rated lower than his opponent.
The reason is that Jakrawut Majungoen possesses a lot of experience in the ring, having almost three times as many matches as Thao. After 50 matches, Majungoen won 44, lost 4, and drew 2, holding 4 international championship belts.

Tran Van Thao entered the game cautiously, preventing Majungoen from exploiting loopholes. He kept a good distance from the powerful blows of the Thai puncher. Not only did he promptly dodge the attacks, but Thao also made sharp counter-attacks, especially in round 8 when he almost had a chance to decide the outcome of the match. However, the Vietnamese boxer fell into a difficult position when he was hit by a powerful enemy's attack and was injured in his left eye. Still, he was able to maintain a tense match until the final round.
After 12 rounds, 3 judges scored unanimously with the victory belonging to the Vietnamese puncher. This victory also helped Tran Van Thao enter the top 30 in the world, from his initial ranking of 49th.
