Bulgarian Holiday Celebrated in Vietnam, Proving Friendship Between the Two Countries

In her remark, Marinela Petkova said that Bulgarian Culture, Education, and Slavic Writing Day (May 24 every year) is the most important holiday in Bulgaria to honor the country's traditional cultural values and modernity. This is also an opportunity to honor the Slavic alphabet founded by two Bulgarians - Kiril and Medtodi and currently used by nearly 300 million people around the world.

Marinela Petkova expressed her sentiment as it is the last celebration of Bulgarian Culture, Education, and Slavic Writing that she served as Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Vietnam. She wore a traditional Vietnamese ao dai with lotus prints and talked about many memories in her 8 years of working in Vietnam.
“My family and I will always keep Vietnam in our hearts, just like you always love Bulgaria,” said Marinela Petkova.
For her part, Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, President of the Vietnam - Bulgaria Friendship Association expressed her gratitude to Marinela Petkova for her contribution in building solidarity and friendship between the two peoples. She also thanked the Bulgarian Embassy to Vietnam for working closely with the Vietnam - Bulgaria Friendship Association in organizing activities that contribute to strengthening the friendship between the two peoples.

At the celebration, delegates who have studied, lived, and worked in Bulgaria shared memories of the country and people, reviewed the traditional friendship between the two peoples, and exchange potential cooperation.
