Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Bulgaria Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet highlighted several key achievements in Vietnam’s socio-economic development since the Doi Moi reforms. The Ambassador also provided information on Vietnam’s efforts to streamline and enhance the efficiency of its administrative apparatus and introduced the "four pillars" of the country's current development strategy: science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, international integration, legal development, and private sector growth. These institutional pillars are seen as crucial drivers to help Vietnam advance in the new era and achieve its goal of becoming a high-income, developed country by 2045.

The Ambassador also announced the upcoming bilateral business forum jointly organized by the Embassy and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), scheduled for July 3, with the direct participation of many Vietnamese enterprises. She expressed hope that the forum would provide a practical opportunity for both sides to effectively tap into their potential for cooperation in the economic, trade, and investment sectors.

Gabriela Dimitrova, Head of International Relations at BCCI, praised Vietnam’s impressive economic growth in recent years. She noted that BCCI is working closely with the Vietnamese Embassy to prepare for the upcoming business forum. According to her, the Bulgarian business community is showing increasing interest in the Vietnamese market, with a large number of companies in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, real estate, human resource supply, and food expected to participate in the forum and bilateral networking activities.

Journalist Maxim Behar recalled writing about the Vietnamese community working in Bulgaria during the 1980s and 1990s and expressed deep admiration for their diligence and hard work. He remarked that Vietnam is now a “major country” with a dynamic economy, and emphasized that the strong traditional friendship between the two countries provides a solid foundation for expanding business ties and future cooperation.

On the sidelines of the event, representatives from Bulgarian media expressed positive views on Vietnam’s socio-economic and diplomatic achievements since Doi Moi, and agreed that there remains great potential for cooperation between the two countries. Delegates also showed keen interest by raising numerous questions regarding Vietnam’s foreign policy, economy, and culture, as well as the prospects and direction of Vietnam-Bulgaria cooperation moving forward.

Following the event, several articles about Vietnam were published by Bulgarian media outlets. Notable examples include: “Vietnamese Ambassador to Journalists: The Media Is a Vital Information Bridge” (Union of Bulgarian Journalists website); “Vietnamese Embassy Displays Warm Hospitality at Meeting with Bulgarian Press” (Zemya newspaper); “Vietnam Has Become a Leading Exporter in Asia and the World” (Duma newspaper); and “75 Years of Vietnam-Bulgaria Diplomatic Relations” (Novinata.bg).
