The Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister extended her sympathy to people in the central region while expressing her hope that the Party, State, and Government of Vietnam, along with the central people would soon overcome difficulties and losses to stabilize their lives and boost socio-economic development, Vietnam News Agency reported.
Through Long An’s provincial leader, the Cambodian Deputy PM handed over VND500 million (US$21,640) to assist citizens in central Vietnam to surmount the aftermaths of floods. The donation was gained by Cambodian Deputy PM An, the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association, the Cambodian Red Cross, the Cambodian Government, and the Youth Union of Svay Rieng province.
Receiving the donation, Vice Chairman of the Long An provincial People's Committee Pham Tan Hoa expressed his thanks to the Government and people of Cambodia, as well as to Cambodian Deputy PM An for sharing the difficulties and losses with people in the central region.
