Cannes Film Festival announces winners
The 68th Cannes Film Festival has announced its winner after 12 days of competition.
French Director, Jacques Audiard’s “Dheepan” is the best film of the 2015 Festival and Director, Hou Hsiao-Hsien took the award for Best Director for “The Assassin”
Rooney Mara from “Carol” and Emmanuelle Bercot from “Mon Roi” were named winners of the best actress award. Vincent Lindon took the Best Actor award for Stephane Brize’s film “La Loi du Marche” (“The Measure of a Man”).

The Cannes Festival is an annual film festival held in Cannes, France, which previews new films of all genres, including documentaries, from around the world.
Founded in 1946, it is considered as the most prestigious film festival in the world and is one of the most publicized. .
The 2015 Cannes Film Festival took place between May 12th – 24th with American film directors Joel Coen and Ethan Coen the joint Presidents of the jury.

Palme d'Or: "Dheepan," directed by Jacques Audiard
Grand Prix: "Son of Saul," directed by Laszlo Nemes
Best Director: "The Assassin," directed by Hou Hsiao-Hsien for
Best Screenplay: "Chronic," written by Michel Franco
Camera d'Or (Best First Feature): "La Tierra y la Sombre," directed by Cesar Acevedo
Jury Prize: "The Lobster," directed by Yorgos Lanthimos
Best Actress: Rooney Mara for "Carol" and Emmanuelle Bercot for "Mon Roi" (Shared Prize)
Best Actor: Vincent Lindon for "The Measure of a Man"
Palme d'Or (Short Film): "Waves '98," directed by Ely Dagher./.
