Following the recent administrative merger, the city continues to promote these programs to leverage its vast potential and space, maintain high growth, and target a 15% increase in tourist arrivals compared to 2024.

Striving to welcome over 17.3 million visitors

According to Director of Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh, as of July 2025, Da Nang has more than 2,260 accommodation facilities with 65,939 rooms, nearly 50% of which are in the 4-5 star segment, operated by international brands such as Accor, IHG, Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton, and others.

Along with being listed among Asia’s top 10 destinations with the highest rate of international visitors returning, Da Nang continues to attract tourists through the Tourism Promotion Program for the last five months of 2025.

The program highlights include enhanced experiences, new services, and travel products, as well as price and service incentives. The city’s tourism sector aims to serve over 17.3 million visitors, up 15% compared to 2024; of which international arrivals are expected to reach 7.6 million (up 25%), domestic visitors 9.7 million (up 8%), with revenue of more than VND 29,900 billion (up 26%).

These are challenging yet promising figures. In this promotion program, in addition to expanding and improving culinary experiences from the Quang Nam-Da Nang region, the tourism sector is introducing the Heritage Passport and Green Passport.

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience heritage discovery journeys and enjoy exclusive offers and gifts. Additionally, through cooperation with VNPay and TRip C, Da Nang’s tourism sector aims to enhance convenience by applying digital technology to facilitate online payments for tourists.

She further explained that one of the factors boosting Da Nang tourism this year is a liberal visa policy. The extension of visa exemptions from 15 to 45 days for many countries, the application of e-visas for over 150 countries and territories, the extension of stay from 30 to 90 days, and multiple-entry privileges have helped attract more international visitors for longer stays.

Da Nang is also actively developing the MICE and wedding tourism markets and opening more international routes. Since early 2025, the city has launched two new regular routes: Dubai-Bangkok-Da Nang (Emirates) and Yangon-Da Nang (Myanmar Airlines), restored the Osaka-Da Nang route (Vietnam Airlines), and operated charter flights from CIS and Macao. Currently, Da Nang has 21 international routes and 8 domestic routes, with an average frequency of 102 flights per day.

Special offers for tourists

Da Nang is rolling out five special tourism stimulus programs for the last five months of 2025 and early 2026, including: Enjoy Da Nang - Diverse New Experiences; Three Experience Passports; Event and Festival Tour; I Love Da Nang; and specific policies for MICE and wedding tourism in 2025.

These programs will be implemented from August 15, 2025, to March 2026. Fifty distinctive green and eco-tourism destinations, including six nature reserves and national parks; 14 tourism villages; eight eco-community tourism sites; eight farmstays; and 14 green hotels and accommodations will participate in the Three Passport Experience program, offering continuous discounts and gifts through the end of the year.

Da Nang tourism will create a comprehensive system for visitors to fully enjoy the city’s offerings—from beach resorts to cultural heritage, eco-tourism, and gastronomy - alongside vibrant events and festivals and a wide range of tourism products for MICE, weddings, golf, and more.

Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association, stated: In 2025, Da Nang has launched three tourism stimulus phases; the second phase, from August 15 to September 30, will focus on introducing new products, policies, and promotions to attract both domestic and international tourists.
