Amid the neatly arranged rows of graves, officers and soldiers of the city’s armed forces, together with coordinating personnel, quickly took their positions. Some checked the lists, others prepared equipment, while others reviewed the lot numbers and grave-row numbers. The atmosphere was urgent but orderly. Everyone focused on their assigned tasks.

Quang Tri Receives Three Aid Packages Worth Nearly USD 38 Million from NPA and MAG

After the launch of the 500-Day-and-Night Campaign to intensify the search for, recovery of, and identification of martyrs’ remains, as of August 22, the forces involved had recovered 1,863 sets of martyrs’ remains. Of these, 839 were found in Vietnam, 174 in Laos, and 850 in Cambodia.

Relentless Search to Bring the Fallen Home
By August 13, the forces involved had searched for and recovered the remains of 1,715 fallen soldiers, achieving 24.5% of the target. Of these, 691 sets of remains were recovered domestically, 174 in Laos, and 850 in Cambodia.
