Diverse activities mark Vietnam-Hungary diplomatic ties despite COVID-19

On April 25, in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur, the Embassy of Vietnam in Malaysia, in coordination with the Malaysia-Vietnam Friendship Association (MVFA), solemnly organized the Hung Kings’ Death Anniversary 2026. The event took place in a dignified atmosphere, attended by Ambassador Dinh Ngoc Linh, representatives of associations, intellectuals, students, and a large number of Vietnamese expatriates living and working in Malaysia.

On April 25, Nguyen Trung Kien, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, led a delegation of 60 distinguished overseas Vietnamese from 20 countries and territories worldwide to offer incense in commemoration of the Hung Kings at the Hung Kings Temple Historical Relic Site and to hold a working session with Phu Tho Province.

Following the strong earthquake that struck off the coast of the Sanriku region on the afternoon of April 20, causing widespread tremors and triggering tsunami warnings across several northeastern coastal prefectures of Japan, the Vietnamese community in the affected areas has been confirmed safe.

On April 19, at Ewha Womans University, the Vietnamese Students’ Association in the Republic of Korea organized the “Student recruitment day - Job Fair 2026,” attracting nearly 500 Vietnamese students studying and working in the country.
