Dong Nai Friendship Union, COPION Establish LS Dream School

A groundbreaking ceremony marks the start of the Tap Phuoc Primary School upgrade project.

Recently, the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations (DUFO) and COPION (Co-operation & Participation In Overseas NGOs) held a groundbreaking ceremony starting the project of LS Dream school No. 18 and build 5 new classrooms at Tap Phuoc Primary School, Long Phuoc Commune, Long Thanh District.

Attending the ceremony were DUFO leaders, representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs and local authorities.

The project is funded by South Korea’s LS Corporation and COPION with a total cost of VND 1.5 billion (USD 66.239) and reciprocal capital of Long Thanh District People's Committee.

This is the 5th dream school construction project of COPION and LS Corporation sponsored in Dong Nai province in the past four years.

With this project, the students of Tap Phuoc Primary School will have new, spacious and convenient classrooms and continue to have the opportunity to have cultural and educational exchanges with students from other countries.

The "dream schools" will continue to be built throughout Vietnam in the coming time, expressing the interest and long-term vision of the LS Group for investment in knowledge, contributing to develop the future owners of Vietnam.

The project also strengthens solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the people of Vietnam and Korea.

Awarding scholarships to 20 poor students who has good academic achievement.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province and DUFO awarded 20 scholarships with a total amount of VND 20 million(USD 883) to disadvantaged students of Tap Phuoc Primary School.

Previously, COPION and Korean LS Corporation also cooperated to implement cultural, educational and people-to-people exchange projects between students and staff from Korea and students at primary schools in Bien Hoa city and Cam My, Xuan Loc, Tan Phu districts.
