Early Voting Team at Sea Returns to Mainland After Completing Mission

Attending the ceremony were Colonel Do Hong Duyen, Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 2; Mai Ngoc Oanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Long Son Commune; Huynh Tuan Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Son Commune; Bui Thi Thu Huong, Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Long Son Commune; along with representatives from agencies under the Naval Region 2 Command and local departments.

During the 15-day mission, the early voting team of Naval Region 2 delivered ballot boxes to more than 600 voters, including officers and soldiers stationed on 15 DK1 platforms, personnel on duty ships and fishermen operating in the DK1 sea area. Despite complex weather conditions and rough seas, officers and soldiers aboard the ships Truong Sa 04 and Truong Sa 21, together with members of the voting team, made great efforts to overcome difficulties to ensure that each ballot reached every voter, enabling them to fully exercise their rights and responsibilities as citizens in accordance with the Law on Election of Deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Do Hong Duyen acknowledged and praised the strong sense of responsibility and efforts of the members of the voting team as well as the officers and soldiers of the two ships for successfully completing their mission while ensuring absolute safety in all aspects. He also highly appreciated the close coordination between carrying out the mission and conducting outreach to encourage fishermen to participate in early voting at sea. At the same time, he expressed gratitude to journalists and media agencies for accompanying and promptly reporting on this meaningful activity.

Congratulating the early voting team on their results, Mai Ngoc Oanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Long Son Commune, affirmed that the organization of early voting at sea was carefully prepared and implemented in a serious and lawful manner, thereby contributing significantly to the overall success of the election work in the locality.

According to the plan, all ballots from voters at sea will be sealed, preserved and counted at 7:00 p.m. on March 15 along with the rest of the country, contributing to the selection of qualified and capable representatives to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels.
