The project’s contractor, HBRE Wind Power Solution, will carry out the project with a total investment of some VND6 trillion. Divided into 3 phases, the construction will last until 2020, with the first phase expected to be completed and connected to the national grid in the second quarter of 2016, generating a productivity of 28 MW.
When operational the wind turbines will create a source of green energy, help to improve the business environment and boost tourism and local socio-economic development.
Mr. Y Dhăm Enuol, Vice Standing Chairman of the Dak Lak provincial People’s Committee, said that the province would make every favourable condition for the first wind power in the region, adding that he hoped the contractor and constructor would mobilise all resources to complete the construction on schedule.
According to a research by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Central Highlands is one of the regions in Vietnam that has a plentiful and stable source of wind./.
