| The medical equipment handover ceremony was held on December 8. |
This project falls under the VCF’s Survive to Thrive program, which aims to reduce the mortality rate of neonates and mothers and enhance local healthcare staff’s expertise. It also looks to ease the pressure of transferring patients to higher-level healthcare facilities in challenging rural areas.
The Survive to Thrive program timely equipped the Tra Bong District Medical Center with 11 pieces of essential medical equipment for maternal and child health care. The program organized a two-day advanced pediatric emergency resuscitation training course for 37 healthcare professionals at the Tra Bong District Medical Center and 15 health clinics in the district, focusing on crucial skills in pediatric emergency care and treatment, especially for newborns.
