The Global Vietnamese Singing 2025 contest allows Vietnamese people worldwide to indulge their passion for singing, showcase their talents, and celebrate the deeply rooted values of Vietnamese culture. Through this event, participants contribute to preserving and honoring their cultural identity while fostering connections and a sense of belonging.
According to Henry Nguyen, Head of the Organizing Committee, this year’s contest is entirely focused on Vietnam, unlike previous seasons, which included contestants from Europe. Instead, winners will have the opportunity to participate in European tours, performing for overseas Vietnamese communities. "Organizing the contest in Vietnam this year is a strategic step to deepen its impact domestically, create greater resonance across the country, and lay the groundwork for future global expansion. Although most contestants this year are from Vietnam, the competition maintains its international spirit through the participation of overseas judges and engagement from the global Vietnamese community in voting and viewership,” Nguyen explained.
This year's competition integrates modern technology to enhance engagement and fairness. Features such as interactive livestreams, behind-the-scenes footage, and contestant diaries will be shared across social media platforms like Facebook Reels and TikTok, helping to reach younger audiences while ensuring transparency.
Awards will be presented in three main categories: Romantic music, folk-red music, and light music (Pop, Rock, R&B). Each category will have one Champion prize and two Runner-up prizes, along with subsidiary awards recognizing the Most Favorite Contestant, Promising Contestant, Most Impressive Performance, and Honoring National Identity.
Beyond the competition itself, the organizing committee will host cultural exchange events with overseas artists, helping contestants deepen their understanding of Vietnamese cultural identity and express it more meaningfully through their performances.
