Government Provides VND 700 Billion in Emergency Aid to Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Gia Lai and Dak Lak

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has signed Decision No. 2543/QĐ-TTg dated November 21, 2025, approving emergency funding for the provinces of Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak to help address damage caused by recent flooding.

Specifically, a total of VND 700 billion will be allocated from the 2025 central budget contingency fund to four provinces – Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak – to address the flood-related damages. The funding includes VND 200 billion each for Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong, and VND 150 billion each for Gia Lai and Dak Lak, in accordance with the proposal of the Ministry of Finance outlined in Document No. 18072/BTC-NSNN dated November 20, 2025.

According to the Government Portal, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that the provincial People’s Committees proactively balance their local budgets, and, together with the support from the central budget and other lawful financial resources, implement urgent tasks to remedy the consequences of the natural disaster in line with regulations.

The decision takes effect from the date of signing (November 21, 2025).

According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), as of November 19, the Central Relief Committee under the VFF Central Committee had received more than VND 1.387 trillion in pledged donations, both cash and goods, for residents in flood-hit areas. Across all levels of the VFF system, over VND 2.6 trillion has been mobilized to support affected communities in overcoming the impacts of consecutive storms and floods in recent weeks.
