The music night was jointly organized by the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba and the embassies of Latin American countries in Vietnam. The program was held on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (December 2, 1960 – December 2, 2025) and the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Argentina Comprehensive Partnership (April 2010 - April 2025), attracting more than 200 delegates, guests, Hanoi residents, and international friends.
Speaking at the event, Nguyen Ngoc Ky, President of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, stated that the 13th Latin American Music Night was a meaningful cultural exchange activity that helped promote the distinctive cultural features of Latin American countries through music, dance, and traditional cuisine.

Through this, the program contributed to strengthening solidarity, friendship, and mutual understanding between the people of the capital and the peoples of Latin American countries, narrowing geographical distances and creating a favorable foundation for expanding friendly relations and cooperation between Vietnam and countries in the region.
According to Nguyen Ngoc Ky, 2025 is a year of special significance in Vietnam-Cuba relations and has been jointly designated by the two countries as the “Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year.” Since the beginning of the year, numerous commemorative activities with profound political and social significance have been organized, generating broad resonance among the people of the capital, the nation, and international friends. In this context, the 13th Latin American Music Night is regarded as the event concluding the series of activities of the “Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year” organized by the authorities and people of Hanoi. It is made even more meaningful by the participation of countries across Latin America, together striving toward a peaceful, united, and cooperative community.

Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes affirmed that this was an exchange night imbued with warm affection between Latin American-Caribbean peoples and the Vietnamese people, where participants could share emotions through expressive rhythms and savor flavors embodying the cultural identities of each nation. The Ambassador expressed his deep impression of Hanoi - the City for Peace, which always welcomes international friends with the generosity and warmth of the Vietnamese people.
According to Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, Vietnam is a warm and culturally rich destination that leaves deep and lasting impressions on those who have the opportunity to live and work here. He emphasized that in a world still marked by conflicts, wars, threats, and instability, spaces for exchange such as the Latin American Music Night are all the more precious, as they allow people to draw closer together, transcend differences, and communicate through the universal language of solidarity and fraternity.
At the 13th Latin American Music Night, delegates, Hanoi residents, and international friends immersed themselves in a lively musical space vibrant with Latin American colors. Many outstanding performances left a lasting impression, such as the Lambada dance performed by the Hanoi Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association; the song Havana by the Vietnam-Cuba Chapter of the Faculty of International Relations, Academy of Journalism and Communication; the Cha-cha-cha dance by the Hanoi UNESCO Association; and the song Guantanamera performed by staff members of the Cuban Embassy.
More than an emotionally rich artistic evening, the program also created a vivid, multi-colored picture of Vietnam-Latin America friendship, contributing to deepening people-to-people diplomacy and spreading the message of peace, solidarity, and cooperation between Vietnam and Latin American countries amid a rapidly changing world.
