Profile Dat nuoc cua toi (Vietnam: Beyond Words) is one of the most ambitious film projects promoting Vietnam to date. The project is sponsored and jointly directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Cinema Department, with filmmaker Luong Dinh Dung serving as director.
The film aims to promote Vietnam, build national soft power and contribute to positioning the country’s brand internationally, while also fostering national pride and inspiring every Vietnamese person to understand their role in the country’s shared development.
Commenting on the project, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong affirmed that cinema has great power to convey a country’s image. The growth in tourism in Ha Giang, Ninh Binh and Phu Yen, among other destinations, demonstrates the effectiveness of high-quality audiovisual promotional products that successfully capture viewers’ interests and preferences.
From the film crew’s perspective, Director Luong Dinh Dung hopes the film will present the most comprehensive portrait of Vietnam to date, bringing together diverse facets within a coherent narrative of international stature and portraying the cultural and historical depth and spirit of the Vietnamese people, from the mainland to the islands.
The production is also expected to bring together leading experts from Vietnam and abroad, reflecting a high level of investment in its scale, visuals and sound.

To ensure the project takes shape as envisioned, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong called on ministries, sectors, localities, provincial and municipal departments of culture, and press agencies to provide favorable conditions for the film crew to carry out the project.
“Such support will help the crew access beautiful locations, compelling stories and the best possible working conditions to produce an official film made by Vietnamese people themselves, contributing to promoting Vietnam and its people to international audiences,” the Deputy Minister said.
From August 15, Profile Dat nuoc cua toi will enter a nationwide and international casting phase. The film crew will not prioritize appearance, age or acting experience, but simply seeks Vietnamese people who have a love for their homeland and national culture.
To apply, each individual is required to submit a video of no more than one minute alongside their application, sharing their feelings about their homeland or telling a meaningful and humane Vietnamese story, while conveying genuine and simple reflections on life and the beauty of Vietnam.
Profile Dat nuoc cua toi is expected to be completed in 2027 and subsequently promoted extensively as part of a national campaign to showcase Vietnam’s image to the world for years to come.
It is a promotional film project responding to the objectives set out in Politburo Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW and National Assembly Resolution No. 28/2026/QH16 - two coordinated strategies for developing Vietnamese culture and people and strengthening the country’s image in the eyes of international audiences.
As part of activities to mark the 42nd anniversary of Vietnam’s Reunification Day (April 30) and the 63rd celebration of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7), the event was organised by the Argentina-Vietnam Cultural Institute and the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina. |
On March 11, 2026, Vietnamese Ambassador to Bulgaria Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet paid a working visit to Kazanlak and held talks with Mayor Galina Stoyanova to promote local-level cooperation between the city of Kazanlak and Lai Chau province, while also discussing plans to promote Vietnam’s image at the 2026 Rose Festival. |
