Hanoians Marvel at Beauty of Indian Culture
The Hanoi's Vietnam - India Friendship Association (HAVIFA) in collaboration with the Indian Embassy and Indian Business Chamber in Vietnam (INCHAM) organized the Vietnam - India Friendship Cultural Festival 2023.
The program aims to promote cultural exchanges and celebrate the 76th anniversary of India and the 78th anniversary of the National Day of Vietnam.

Speaking at the festival, HAVIFA President Phan Lan Tu affirmed that similarities in culture have helped Vietnam and India come closer together with its extremely diverse and rich culture that has been known to many Vietnamese people through Buddhism, architectural heritage, yoga, cuisine, fashion, and cinema. cinema. Meanwhile, the traditional beauty of Vietnam in general and Hanoi in particular is also welcomed and loved by Indian friends, especially the Indian community in Hanoi.
HAVIFA President said that the event will further contribute to promoting understanding and friendship between the two countries, introducing the beauty of Indian culture to the people of Hanoi.

Subhash Prasad Gupta, Deputy chief of the mission from the Embassy of India in Vietnam, said that Vietnam and India share traditional cultural values through a long history, such as family culture, Buddhism or Yoga.
Gupta also emphasized the timing of the festival has profound meaning when it is close to the anniversary of India's Independence Day and Vietnam's National Day, saying that this is a good opportunity for the people of the two countries to actively exchange cultures, understand and get closer to each other.
At the festival, people of the Capital as well as international friends enjoyed the performance of traditional Vietnamese and Indian women's costumes with similarities in materials and designs. Besides, visitors can also admire publications, photos, handicraft products, famous dishes or tourist attractions.

In particular, at the Vietnam - India Friendship Cultural Festival, the India Travel Guide compiled by Ambassador Ton Sinh Thanh, HAVIFA Vice President was also officially launched.
The book is the passion of Thanh - a person who lived and worked for 8 years in India, and who has a deep love for the country and people of India. This is also a meaningful friendship gift from Havifa to Indian friends.
