The memorandum of understanding between the two sides outlines a series of initiatives aimed at bolstering Vietnam's human resources for the semiconductor ecosystem. Infineon Technologies will contribute to the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering's educational programs by delivering lectures, sending experts to share their knowledge, and supporting laboratory courses. Infineon Technologies' engineers will guide Vietnamese students in experiencing the world's leading advanced semiconductor technologies. They will also provide students with opportunities for internships, career fairs, and orientation sessions.
A key feature is the cooperation in research and development within the semiconductor field. The School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering serves as a bridge, helping Infineon Technologies become a trusted partner in Vietnam and an attractive workplace for future Vietnamese engineers. Students at all levels will have the chance to combine theoretical knowledge with practical application during their studies and complete their final theses with the support of Infineon Technologies.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, Rector of the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Hanoi University of Science and Technology), said that this collaboration will enable the school to bring the latest advancements and innovations in the electrical, electronics, and semiconductor industries into the classroom and laboratory. The school's students will have access to the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the semiconductor industry.
Chua Chee Seong, President and CEO of Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific, emphasized the necessity of cooperation to develop a team of skilled and innovative engineers. He stated that the robust academic foundation of the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, combined with the industry expertise of Infineon Technologies, will create a formidable synergy. This partnership is expected to significantly enhance Vietnam's semiconductor education and research activities shortly.
