Japanese Tea Ceremony Welcomes Spring in Hanoi
The event attracted the participation of many fans of Japanese culture. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Watanabe Shige, Deputy of Japan's Ambassador to Vietnam expressed that tea drinking is a similar culture between Vietnam and Japan and a tie that links the two countries.

According to the Ambassador, the "Tea Ceremony and Culture of Japan Program'' is part of a series of activities towards the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (September 21, 1973 - 2023). It contributes to promoting people-to-people diplomacy and cementing the friendship between the two countries.
The program had many interesting activities such as participating in traditional Japanese games, enjoying Japanese singing and dancing, and much more. The introduction of typical Japanese culture gave young participants a similar experience as if they were in Japan.

The organizers hoped that the program would be a useful opportunity for young people to experience and learn about the people, culture and customs of Japan, thereby cultivating Vietnam - Japan friendship.
Attending the tea ceremony procedure, many young people showed interest of the foreign culture. Vuong Huyen My, a student at Vietnam - Japanese University expressed her admiration of the Land of the Rising Sun.
“The Japanese tea ceremony is quite interesting. It brings a sense of relaxation and serenity. I am studying Japanese culture, and I think that Vietnam and Japan have many cultural similarities. This might help the two countries increase cultural exchange activities in the future.”
