Lao-Viet Nam Friendship Association Congratulates Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations on National Congress

On the occasion of the National Congress of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations for the 2026-2031 term, the Lao-Viet Nam Friendship Association sent a congratulatory message. The message recognized the contributions made by the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations to the cause of protecting, building and developing the country, and to peace, friendship, national independence and international solidarity.

According to the plan, the Congress will take place on September 14, 2026, in Hanoi. It will review and comprehensively assess the implementation of the Resolution of the 2019-2026 term Congress; set out orientations and tasks for the 2026-2031 term; and consolidate its personnel and organizational structure.

In the message, Academician and Professor Boviengkham Vongdara, President of the Lao-Viet Nam Friendship Association, described the Congress as an important event for the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations. He also extended his congratulations to President Phan Anh Son, the Executive Committee and all members of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations.

The message stated that, since its establishment, the activities of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations have been closely associated with the cause of protecting, building and developing the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, as well as with the pursuit of peace, friendship, national independence and international solidarity. The upcoming Congress is regarded as an important milestone in strengthening friendly cooperation with organizations in the region and around the world.

Academician and Professor Boviengkham Vongdara affirmed that he would coordinate with the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Viet Nam-Lao Friendship Association to further strengthen and nurture the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, the two States and the peoples of the two countries, so that these ties will continue to develop fruitfully.

On this occasion, Academician and Professor Boviengkham Vongdara wished the National Congress of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations for the 2026-2031 term every success.
