MoFA: Vietnamese workers in Yemen in safe area
Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Pham Thu Hang, on April 7th said that nineteen Vietnamese workers were currently in Yemen but in safe areas distant from the battleground.

They are offshore fishermen contracted with a Korean company.
Recently, the Vietnamese embassy in Saudi Arabia and Yemen contacted representatives of these workers and is closely coordinating with Yemeni agencies, embassies of ASEAN nations and other countries to share information and ensure the safety of Vietnamese citizens.
“We has designed specific plans to evacuate Vietnamese citizens from Yemen in case of emergency,” said Ms. Hang./.
