In response to the situation, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and General Secretary To Lam have urgently and promptly directed response measures; the Government and the Prime Minister have issued multiple urgent directives; local authorities and military and police forces have swiftly carried out rescue operations, prioritizing the safety of the people and ensuring they have food, drinking water, and clothing.

On behalf of the Presidium of the VFF Central Committee, Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed sympathy and condolences to the families who lost loved ones, as well as to those whose homes, crops, and assets were destroyed by the floods. She expressed gratitude to the armed forces, rescue teams, and ordinary citizens who braved dangerous floodwaters to protect lives and property.

According to Bui Thi Minh Hoai, the traditions of “Loving others as oneself” and “Mutual affection, mutual support” in difficult times are precious values of the Vietnamese people, which the Viet Nam Fatherland Front has upheld, preserved, and spread across generations. She emphasized that people in the Central and Central Highlands regions urgently need the compassion and timely encouragement of people across the country and overseas Vietnamese.
