According to Nguyen Thanh Trung, while the search and recovery operation at Le Thi Rieng Park is ongoing, relevant authorities are continuing to collect and supplement records and data in preparation for surveys and search activities in the Tan Son Nhat Airport area.

The information provided by witnesses and local residents concerning the battles fought at Tan Son Nhat Airport during the 1968 Tet General Offensive and Uprising will serve as an important basis for verifying areas suspected to contain the graves of fallen soldiers and will support future survey and search efforts.

Nguyen Thanh Trung highly appreciated the support of news agencies and media organizations in spreading information and connecting witnesses and relatives of fallen soldiers with the authorities. He expressed hope that the media would continue to accompany the "500 Days and Nights" campaign to search for and recover the remains of fallen soldiers, helping those still resting on former battlefields return to their families and comrades.

Earlier, on July 7, the Ho Chi Minh City High Command announced that it was coordinating with domestic and international agencies and organizations to continue collecting information and verifying the burial sites of soldiers killed during the battle at Tan Son Nhat Airport on the night of January 30 and the early morning of January 31, 1968.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City High Command, numerous historical documents and domestic and international sources indicate that there are two mass burial trenches on the western side of Tan Son Nhat Airport, where many officers and soldiers who heroically sacrificed their lives during the historic battle were buried.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City High Command, every piece of information, no matter how small, could be a crucial clue in identifying the locations of the mass burial trenches and supporting the search, recovery, and identification of the fallen soldiers. All information provided by the public will be received, verified, and kept confidential in accordance with regulations.
