Over 800 Taekwondo artists compete in Korean Ambassador Cup

Proposals such as short-term visa exemption policies for tourists, the launch of direct flight routes, enhanced people-to-people diplomacy through expanded friendship associations, and the establishment of university-research alliances were among the key recommendations put forward at the conference “75 Years of Diplomatic Relations between Vietnam and Central, Eastern European Countries: Strengthening Friendship, Enhancing Cooperation, Looking Toward the Future”, held on June 26 in Hanoi.

The seminar, which took place on June 25, drew numerous representatives from the political, economic, academic, and civil society sectors of both countries, along with members of the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association.

During his three-year tenure in Vietnam, Canadian Ambassador to Vietnam Shawn Steil has significantly contributed to promoting the friendly relations between the two countries. In recognition of his contributions, on June 25 in Hanoi, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations held a ceremony to award the "For Peace and Friendship among Nations" medal to Ambassador Shawn Steil.

On June 25 in Hanoi, Phan Anh Son, president of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), held talks with Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh to discuss a coordination mechanism aimed at strengthening people-to-people relations between Vietnam and Laos. The meeting was part of efforts to deepen the special solidarity between the two countries.
