At the Conference reviewing activities commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (A80), held on October 9 in Hanoi, the Central Steering Committee for Major National Celebrations assessed that the commemorative events had been organized solemnly, on an appropriate scale, and with absolute safety. These activities not only inspired national pride and aspirations for development among the people but also strongly conveyed Vietnam’s enduring message of independence, peace, and friendship to the international community.

In September 2025, Hanoi welcomed 4.17 million visitors, marking a historic high and a 98% surge compared to the same period in 2024. The unprecedented growth is largely attributed to the vibrant festivities commemorating the 80th anniversary of Independence Day on September 2 (A80) held in the capital city.

“Vietnam has won independence, and now, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the people are taking their destiny into their own hands in a new stage, a stage of rising forward.”
