On June 8 in Hanoi, a delegation from the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association, led by Nguyen Dac Vinh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for Culture and Society, and President of the Association, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Sonexay Siphandone on the occasion of the Lao leader’s official visit to Vietnam and his participation in the ASEAN Future Forum 2026. At the meeting, Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone affirmed that the Party, State, and people of Laos consistently attach great importance to and give top priority to preserving and promoting the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic connectivity with Vietnam.

A Vietnam-Türkiye Trade and Economic Promotion Forum was recently held in Istanbul through the joint efforts of the Embassy of Vietnam in Türkiye, the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEIK), and the Vietnamese Women’s Forum in Europe.

Four member friendship associations under the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations: The Viet Nam-Sweden Friendship Association, the Viet Nam-Indonesia Friendship Association, the Viet Nam-Canada Friendship Association, and the Viet Nam-RoK Friendship Association, held Executive Committee meetings to appoint their presidents for the 2026-2031 term from June 2 to 5, 2026.

From pediatric HIV treatment and tuberculosis prevention to support for data management and supply chains, the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI/United States) has worked alongside Vietnam in advancing public healthcare. In an interview with Vietnam Times Magazine, CHAI Vice President Zachary Katz praised Vietnam’s achievements in the health sector and expressed confidence in the prospects for future cooperation.
