Phu Yen Province and Israel Cooperate for Mutual Development

In the opening speech, Tran Huu The, chairman of Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee spoke of the natural conditions, geographical location and potential of Phu Yen. He also expressed his pleasure to welcome delegates to the first meeting of Phu Yen-Israel held in the province.

According to The, Israel is known as the "Start-up nation", leading in scientific research, especially in the natural sciences, economics and health.

This country is also among the leading countries in the world in water economy and efficient use of solar energy. Phu Yen province wishes to learn and connect with advanced, experienced and successful partners like Israel.

The delegates discussed many issues on agricultural, industrial and commercial development, especially on high-tech agriculture developed in Israel. Many new technologies in infrastructure development, tourism, and clean water treatment were also shared at the conference.

Concluding the conference, Pham Dai Duong, secretary of the Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee said he appreciated the practical exchange between the participants.

"The opinions are diverse, highly focused on the key areas that are essential for the economic development of Phu Yen. These are also the strengths of Israeli partners: agriculture, infrastructure, innovation and business development," he said.

Pham Dai Duong also proposed the Provincial People's Committee and the diplomatic agencies of the two sides to develop the Phu Yen-Israel cooperation program 2022-2025.

The program is in line with the province's plan on socio-economic development for the 2021-2025 term, and the development plan of Phu Yen province to 2030.

The program will contribute to the development of the province, Israeli businesses and investors, economic and trade relations between the two countries.
