PM encourages overseas community to preserve homeland's language, culture
(VNF) – Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Xuan Phuc on April 5 met with the Vietnamese community in Cambodia, on occasion of the Cambodian traditional New Year Chol Chnam Thmay.

On behalf of the Vietnamese goverment and the Party, The PM extended warm wishes of health, prosperity and happiness to the Vietnamese community in Cambodia.
The leader in addition expressed his delights to see the community's hard-work spirit and the significant role they play in bringing the two countries closer.
He affirmed the Party and the Government's priority for overseas people in general and those in Cambodia in particular.
Furthermore, he requested overseas parents to create favorable condition for their children to go to school and pick up Khmer language, so they can integrate with the community, gain better jobs for a brighter future.

In addition, he reminded the Vietnamese community to adhere to Cambodian laws, contribute to the development of Cambodia, while keep preserving the culture and language of homeland.
The PM also remind the Vietnamese Cambodian Association, Vietnamese enterprises in Cambodia to stand by the Vietnamese community's side.
On the occasion, the PM presented gifts to needy Vietnamese Cambodian families./.
