In addition, the participating force also includes officials from the Women's Union, the People's Committee of the commune and the Youth Union of Yen Dung district. Currently, the area of Chua village, Tien Dung commune, located in the pandemic area, has to be isolated and blocked, so traders cannot come to the area to buy. On the other hand, due to compliance with pandemic prevention and control, farmers cannot bring their own melons to sell elsewhere.
The weather was sunny and hot at nearly 38 degrees Celsius at noon on May 30, making harvesting more difficult. This year's crop season, in Yen Dung district, there are about 100 hectares of watermelons and melon pears with a backlog of about 2,000 tons. Meanwhile, the whole district is implementing social distancing under Directive 16 from May 19.
