At the meeting, Ms. Dong Bi You hoped to continue receiving assistance from Quang Nam’s leaders during her tenure, Bao Quang Nam reported.
According to Ms. Dong Bi You, Quang Nam and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region share the same characteristics in the economy. The two sides possess various potential aspects that can beef up cooperation such as tourism, agriculture, human resources, infrastructure construction, etc.
As the Chinese Consul General in Da Nang City, Ms. Dong Bi You is willing to serve as a bridge to promote friendly cooperation and socio-economic development between Quang Nam and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. She also expected that cooperation on other fields between the two sides would enjoy vigorous growth.
Chairman of Quang Nam People's Committee Le Tri Thanh affirmed Quang Nam always aspired to strengthen friendly relations with partners; especially with the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on the already signed contents.
Due to the impacts of Covid-19, the contents signed by the two sides have not been implemented. The provincial leader believed if the epidemic is put under control, Quang Nam- Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region cooperation relationship would develop stronger.
In the investment field, Quang Nam wished to collaborate with partners to develop smart agriculture, adapting to climate change and exporting to China. Medical, cultural, and educational exchanges are also areas that the province has a great interest in and believe the two sides would well cooperate in the time to come.
Earlier, on April 22, Ms Dong Bi You paid courtesy visits to the leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang on the occasion she was appointed as the Chinese Consul General in the city.
