As the Covid-19 situation in Quang Ninh and the neighboring provinces, cities has basically put under control, the Quang Ninh Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control issued the official dispatch on the implementation of the pandemic prevention measures in the new state, Lao Dong reported.
Accordingly, localities such as Quang Yen town, Uong Bi city, and Ha Long city will remove the Covid-19 checkpoints towards vehicles and people entering and leaving the province starting 0:00 March 22.
The business establishments allowed to reopen are required to sternly comply with the regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.
Residents are ordered to abide by the 5K message such as making health declarations, wearing face masks in public spaces, etc. Besides, those breaching the Covid-19 safety protocols will also be strictly crackdown on.
As for Dong Trieu town which was hit hardest by infections in the province, based on the epidemic situation, it will mull lifting the Covid-19 checkpoints.
Quang Ninh province decided to reopen movie theaters, bars, discos, video games, internet, and karaoke parlors from March 11, according to Vnexpress.
Tourism activities in Quang Ninh, home to the famous Ha Long Bay, also resume starting March 11.
Intercity buses were allowed to operate, except in routes to and from its neighboring Hai Duong Province, the epicenter of the recent outbreak.
| Vietnam recorded one imported case of COVID-19 in the past 12 hours to 6 pm March 20, raising the national count to 2,572, according to the Health Ministry. The latest patient is a Vietnamese citizen who returned from Germany via Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City and testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 while staying in quarantine in Ba Ria-Vung Tau. As of March 20, 2,198 patients have been given the all-clear. The death toll remains at 35. Among patients still under treatment, 37 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, 18 twice and 63 thrice. Meanwhile, 37,599 people are being quarantined nationwide, with 492 at hospitals, 18,379 at concentrated quarantine facilities, and 18,728 at their accommodations. |
