According to a recent report by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), more than 742,000 Russian visitors traveled to Vietnam in the first half of 2026, an increase of 2.8 times compared to the same period in 2025. As a result, Russia is now Vietnam's third-largest international source market, following China and the Republic of Korea.

ATOR noted that Vietnam continues to attract Russian travelers thanks to its favorable climate, well-developed resort infrastructure, and the restoration of air routes between the two countries. These factors have significantly boosted Russian demand for travel to Vietnam in recent months.

In addition to the strong growth of the Russian market, Vietnam's tourism sector also posted positive results in the first half of 2026, welcoming approximately 12.3 million international visitors, up 14.9% compared to the same period last year.

According to experts, if the current trend continues throughout the remaining months of the year, the number of Russian visitors to Vietnam is expected to keep rising, making an important contribution to the country's international tourism development goals for 2026.
