According to the article on kprf.ru, the achievements recorded in the recent development period have inspired confidence and enthusiasm not only among the Vietnamese people but also within the international community. During the 2021-2025 period, Vietnam’s average annual economic growth reached approximately 6.3%, placing the country among the fastest-growing economies in the region and worldwide. With GDP per capita approaching USD 5,000, Vietnam is currently classified as a high middle-income country.

Notably, Vietnam’s economic growth has increasingly been linked with ensuring social progress and equity. Prioritizing the allocation of resources to social security and human development has contributed to a marked improvement in the material and spiritual well-being of the population. Health insurance coverage increased from 90.9% in 2020 to 95.2% in 2025, while the average life expectancy of Vietnamese people has now reached 74.8 years.

The Russian media articles noted that these results are the outcome of upholding the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of independence, self-reliance and resilience, creative labor, and the enduring aspiration for development of the entire Vietnamese nation under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. However, the most important highlight of the 14th Congress lies not only in reviewing achievements, but also in formulating a strategic vision for the future.

Accordingly, the 14th Congress set out long-term, breakthrough development goals: by 2030, marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the country strives to become a developing nation with modern industry and upper-middle income; and by 2045, commemorating the centenary of the founding of the nation, to become a developed, high-income country. To realize these objectives, Vietnam has set specific targets, including GDP growth of 10% or higher during the 2026-2030 period, GDP per capita of approximately USD 8,500 by 2030; and efforts to reduce the poverty rate by 1-1.5% annually, moving toward the complete eradication of poverty once food security is ensured.

In addition, the article on kprf.ru placed particular emphasis on the new growth model orientation pursued by the 14th Congress, in which science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation are identified as key driving forces, while the private economic sector is considered an important engine of the economy. Culture is also regarded as a pillar of development, advancing in parallel with economic and social progress.

Rossiyskaya Gazeta assessed that the Communist Party of Vietnam has demonstrated strong political resolve in translating the set goals into reality. This forms part of a long-term strategy to enable Vietnam to transform from a “strong” nation into a “prosperous” one by 2045, through improving living standards, employment, and income for the people.

A notable detail analyzed by Rossiyskaya Gazeta is the capitalization of the word “People” in the documents of the 14th Congress. According to the Russian newspaper, this is not a coincidence but clearly reflects the consistent viewpoint of the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam in regarding the People as the foundation, the subject, and the center of the process of renewal, nation-building, and national defense. Many of the Congress’s major orientations focus on improving the quality of human resources, developing the education and culture system, and encouraging dynamism and creativity in society, thereby consolidating and strengthening the People’s trust in the Party and in the socialist-oriented development path that Vietnam is steadfastly pursuing.
