Second Vietnamese restaurant in Panama’s capital
The second Vietnamese restaurant named “Sabor Viet” was opened on November 7th at Road 54, Obarrio ward in the capital of Panama.
The event was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to Panama Vu Ngoc Minh and a large number of overseas Vietnamese in Panama.
Covering an area of 400m2 and located in the center of the city, where many hotels, offices and luxury apartments are placed, Sabor Viet restaurant will introduce Vietnam’s traditional dishes, including Pho (noodle soup), fried noodles, fried meat rolls, fried fish, fried rice with beef and seafood to Panamanian and Latin American diners.
Vietnamese food has proven very popular in Panama since very favourable reviews and pictures were published in the culinary newspaper DixiEast only a week after the opening of the first Vietnamese restaurant.
According to many local diners, Vietnamese dishes have less fat and gluten and are more gentle than China’s dishes.
"For those who have gone to the US and have eaten in Vietnamese restaurants, they will feel a very small difference in taste and some different spices when eating in Vietnamese restaurants in Panama. It is because Vietnamese restaurants in the US are often cooked in the southern style but Vietnamese restaurants in Panama are cooked in the northern style. However, all dishes are delicious, gentle and fresh," writes the DixiEasts./.
