Seminar Focuses on Improving Overseas Vietnamese Affairs in Ha Long

At the seminar, Ambassador Nguyen Phu Binh, Chairman of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese, provided information on the world and regional situation, and the Party and State's policies on overseas Vietnamese affairs in the new situation.
The main objective of the event is sharing experiences to raise awareness and sense of responsibility in implementing the policy of great solidarity and national reconciliation with overseas Vietnamese. The participants also discussed the solutions to connect overseas Vietnamese towards the Fatherland and promote their resources to serve the country's development.
Quang Ninh has over 15,000 overseas Vietnamese living, working and studying in 38 countries and territories. In the province, more than 7,000 households have children who are overseas Vietnamese relatives, creating a community deeply connected to the homeland.

The organizational system of the Association of Overseas Vietnamese Relatives in Quang Ninh province has 10 associations at district, town and city levels and 65 affiliated associations and branches in communes, wards, towns, villages, and neighborhoods. With 1,350 members, these organizations play an important role as a bridge between relatives in the country and overseas Vietnamese.
Over the years, all levels have actively participated in patriotic emulation movements such as building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and so on. It plays an important role to connect the overseas Vietnamese and relatives, and a solid bridge for our compatriots abroad to preserve their love for their homeland, national culture and actively contribute to the Fatherland.
