The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City held an exhibition titled "Vietnam's seas and islands: Historical evidence" at its Thu Duc campus.

Thu Duc has been greenlighted to become a city within a city of Ho Chi Minh City, an unprecedented move from the National Parliament.
