More than 700 guests - from leaders and diplomatic delegations to citizens and international friends - gathered together, turning Cyberjaya into a miniature ASEAN stage. The theme “Towards a Comprehensive and Sustainable ASEAN Future” was no longer just a slogan but was brought to life through every activity, every smile, and every warm handshake.
The vibrancy of the day was most vividly felt through the unique cultural performances. The main stage flowed like an endless cultural river, featuring the mesmerizing traditional Zapin dance of host Malaysia and a choral performance blending the diverse cultural traits of ASEAN nations.

The exhibition space was a lively world of art and cuisine: the intricate Batik and Songket fabrics of Malaysia and Indonesia, the unique lacquerware of Myanmar, the rich aroma of Vietnamese coffee, and countless other specialties told the story of an ASEAN rich in identity and full of potential.
Speaking at the ceremony, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim affirmed that ASEAN is not just a bloc of governments, but a community of peoples. The celebration was a reaffirmation of ASEAN’s commitment to building a future where no one is left behind - a future that is economically sustainable, environmentally safe, and culturally rich.
The 58th ASEAN Founding Anniversary was not only an occasion for member countries to reflect on their development journey but also an opportunity to strengthen confidence in the power of multilateral cooperation in a world full of changes. For ASEAN’s people, it was a meaningful event that fostered pride in cultural identity and solidarity within the common home.
Within the framework of the event, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Malaysian House of Representatives Speaker Johari Abdul visited booths and enjoyed coffee at Vietnam’s booth, expressing appreciation for the distinctive flavor of the product.
