The Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka (Japan) held a solemn celebration of 127th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh on May 14.

Speaking at the ceremony, Consul General Tran Duc Binh highlighted the revolutionary activities of Uncle - the genius leader of the Vietnamese people, the hero of national liberation, a world cultural celebrity by UNESCO.

The Consul General deeply shared the feelings of the Vietnamese people about Uncle Ho, who led the Vietnamese people to find a way of national liberation, independence and freedom.

On behalf of the delegates, Mr. Umeda Shoji, President of Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association in Osaka, highly appreciated President Ho Chi Minh's great contributions to Vietnam's cause of national liberation and the movement for national independence worldwide in the twentieth century.

In particular, Prof. Tomita Kenji, former head of the faculty of Vietnamese, Osaka University shared his impressions and feelings with the Vietnamese people as well as the respect for President Ho Chi Minh.
