[Video] IOM Commends Vietnam’s Efforts in Combating Human Trafficking

From November 2 to 21, the photo exhibition “Little Hanoi: Next Generation” is taking place in Hanoi, showcasing 65 portraits of young Vietnamese who grew up in the Czech Republic. Interspersed among the portraits are landscape photographs capturing scenes from Northern Vietnam - the homeland of many Vietnamese families living in this European country.

Futuremakers programme is a global initiatives to tackle inequality and promote greater economic inclusion for disadvantaged young people through community programs focused on education, employability, and entrepreneurship.

On an autumn afternoon in Moscow, in a small room of the Institute of Asian and African Studies at Moscow State University (MGU), third-year student Mikhail Osin was deeply engrossed in reading his favorite Vietnamese book, Southern Forest Land. “I chose to study Vietnamese not merely to learn another foreign language, but to understand a culture. It is the key that opens the door to the hearts of my dear Vietnamese friends,” said Mikhail Osin.

This is the perspective shared by Dr. Tran Huu Tri, Head of the Faculty of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Linguistics and Culture at the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, regarding efforts to make Vietnamese a “bridge language” in the region and the world.
