	UAE: IAF contingent comprising Suryakiran Aerobatic Team, Tejas fighters arrives for Dubai Air Show

Speaking at the ceremony, Bader Almatrooshi, UAE Ambassador to Viet Nam, stated that over past decades, the UAE has witnessed a remarkable transformation across many fields, from economic diversification and sustainable development to space exploration, clean energy, and artificial intelligence.

The UAE pursues a balanced and open foreign policy, placing dialogue and understanding at the center of global cooperation efforts. The UAE’s participation in G20 meetings, its accession to BRICS, and its expansion of Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements worldwide, including with Viet Nam, are clear examples of the country’s active and constructive presence on the international stage.

Ambassador Bader Almatrooshi affirmed that the positive relationship between the UAE and Viet Nam reflects a strong, mutually beneficial partnership founded on respect and shared interests. This relationship has grown rapidly in recent years, supported by both governments and the private sector, with the aim of realizing the shared vision of the two countries’ leaders.

High-level exchanges continue to emphasize the importance of this partnership. Among them, the meeting between Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister of Viet Nam Pham Minh Chinh on the sidelines of the G20 Summit is a notable example.

“I am pleased to see that bilateral trade has increased by 50% during 2023–2024, reaching 12 billion dollars. Viet Nam’s fruit and vegetable exports to the UAE alone grew by 49% by the end of the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period of 2024.

This year has also seen important developments in tourism, culture, and people-to-people exchanges. Emirates Airlines has expanded its services to four flights, connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang; and Etihad Airways has launched a new route between Abu Dhabi and Hanoi.

This past August, the UAE Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam jointly organized a conference in Tay Ninh Province on the UAE’s strategic role in connecting agricultural supply chains in the Mekong Delta with the Middle East and Africa. In addition, numerous investment promotion forums have been held in both Viet Nam and the UAE, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, DMCC, the Ajman Free Zone, and Jafza,” the Ambassador shared.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Government and people of Viet Nam, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang extended the warmest congratulations to Ambassador Bader Almatrooshi and all UAE friends working and living in Viet Nam on this special occasion.

According to the Deputy Minister, the Viet Nam–UAE bilateral relationship is deepening thanks to strengthened political trust and enhanced strategic understanding, reaffirmed through more than 50 visits at various levels in 2024.

Economic cooperation has also continued to expand strongly, with the UAE remaining a leading economic partner and Viet Nam’s largest export market in the region.

“The UAE is not only an important economic partner but also a sincere and reliable friend of Viet Nam, sharing common aspirations for peace, cooperation, and prosperity. Cooperation activities have never been as dynamic, substantive, and wide-ranging as they are now, across sectors from trade, investment, defense, and security to people-to-people exchanges,” the Deputy Minister added.

Within the framework of the celebration, guests had the opportunity to reflect on the UAE’s 54-year journey of formation and development, and enjoy a traditional Al-Ayyala performance. The UAE Embassy in Viet Nam also showcased a video capturing the beauty of the S-shaped country through the lens of artists from the Middle East.

The event contributed to enhancing understanding and connection, while opening expectations for a future of deeper, more effective, and more sustainable cooperation between Viet Nam and the UAE.
