Vietnam - China Friendship Cycling Tournament Opens in Border Gate

The program "Cycling across the border, companionship in friendship" in 2025 is organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province (Vietnam) and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Fangchenggang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) organizational coordination.

This is a practical activity to celebrate the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China and in response to the Year of Humanistic Exchange between Vietnam and China.

Immediately after the opening ceremony is a cycling activity with a distance of 15km/turn, on 2 length including: The first is from Hoanh Mo border gate to Binh Lieu Palace Hotel, Binh Lieu district (from 9:30 am to 10:30 am) and the return from Binh Lieu Palace Hotel, Binh Lieu district to Hoanh Mo border gate (from 12:15 am to 1:30 pm).

About 300 athletes from both countries participated. The cycling group has over 30 leading motorcyclists and over 80 people from various forces such as logistics, medical, security and safety.

The goal of the event is to contribute to strengthening solidarity, promoting people-to-people, cultural and sports exchanges between the two countries and two localities. It also strengthens border tourism cooperation, promotes the image of Binh Lieu tourism, and attracs more tourists after implementing immigration through Hoanh Mo border gate.

Through the event, Binh Lieu district and Phong Thanh Area have the opportunity to promote economic and trade development, create favorable conditions for tourism customs clearance and trade of goods, help improve infrastructure, improve service quality at the border gate area.
