The expo was one of the key events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) and the 35th anniversary of the All-People Defence Festival.
The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence is hosting a four-day event to share achievements and experiences in researching, producing, and using weapons and equipment, and to promote cooperation in the defense industry among participating countries.
The expo's opening ceremony will commence at 9:00 am on December 19, featuring performances by 2,000 officers and soldiers of the VPA under the theme "Vietnam - Peace - Cooperation - Development." There will also be impressive demonstrations by the Air Force, special forces, honor guard, military service dogs, and other units.
Spanning over 100,000 sq.m, the expo includes both indoor and outdoor exhibition zones, showcasing new military equipment and weaponry developed by Vietnam's defense industry for the first time.
The event will be open to the public from 9:00 am on December 21.
The exhibition will include exchange programs to promote collaboration between agencies, units, and enterprises; thematic workshops on military technology; and activities showcasing achievements in defense cooperation.
